Story

Daniil is the second child in his family. His elder sister who is 13 also suffers with autoimmune lymphoproliferative syndrome (ALPS). At the core of the disease are primary defects of apoptosis of lymphocytes, leading to a loss of control over the proliferation of lymphoid cells and negative selection of lymphocytes. There are over 50,000 aggressive lymphocytes in the blood of Daniil, attacking different organs of his body. With the diagnosis he has there is a high risk of malignancies, in order to avoid them the boy needs the Sirolimus drug.

Daniil is 3. When he was 1 month old, his mother noticed that her child turned white and that his lymph nodes were inflamed. Since she was already familiar with the symptoms, she immediately took her baby to the right doctors, who diagnosed that the boy was suffering with primary immunodeficiency (ALPS). At 2, the boy had his spleen removed.  

Despite all the sufferings, Daniil is a very cheerful, mischievous and goal oriented boy. If he decides something, it is impossible to make him change his mind, the aim will be reached by all means.
